Lambretta Carburettor kit, large block, Dellorto 28mm PHBH, with tea strainer filter

MBD28K2

A complete carburettor kit to suit Series 1/2, cut downs and choppers as the carb is angled slightly forward which makes fitting a filter difficult on Series 3 panels.

Comes with

  • Carb stripped and pre jetted
  • Spare jets to fine tune the motor
  • Cable choke conversion
  • MB tea strainer filter
  • MB Gasket
  • MB Inlet manifold and special bolt
  • MB Viton carb rubber
  • Carb rubber clips
  • Large float valve

Jets supplied;

  • 55 Idle Jet fitted (spare 50)
  • 128 Main Jet fitted (spare 125, 120, 115)
  • AV 264 Atomiser fitted (spare AV266)
  • X13 Needle fitted (spare X7, X7/13, X13/2, X2)

It gives slightly better fuel economy than the 30mm version at the expense of a little bit of top-end speed.

More suited to milder tunes.

Suits all 200/205/210/215/220/225/230/240 cast type cylinders with the carb on the left and all Race-Tour RT 195/200 and 200/205 cylinders.

John on 01 Feb 2021 asked "I have recently fitted the RT195 kit, I was looking at the 28mm Dellorta kit; the jets that are fitted, would this be a good plug and play start point until I can get it DYNO'd. Thank you."

MB Scooters Ltd replied: Our kits come stripped and pre jetted to suit, but slightly on the rich side

Norman H on 16 Nov 2015 asked "I've just fitted a 25mm carb to my 1963 Lanbretta TV 175. I am having difficulty starting it from cold, there is a strong smell of fuel which indicates that is is very rich, how do I set the carb up for better starting. Regards"

MB Scooters Ltd replied: All running in and fitting instrustions can be found here http://www.lambrettaspares.info/info/scooters-*-lambretta-/mb-*-setting-up-instructions+223.html
