great service with fast delivery. if i wanted to be picky the casting was a little rough and required a quick fettle but otherwise a good product and does the job. would recommend

Rob A on 15 Sep 2010 asked "I have a question about "Vespa P range Reed valve assembly, with alloy carburettor stub, 4 petal, MRB" I have this product and am installing it on my bike with a Dellorto 30mm carb. I am using a Mikuni vacuum fuel pump and am familiar with how to set up the tubing and the manifold is tapped for a vacuum line. My question is since the manifold sets the carb at an angle should I set the float height to correspond with the new angle or should the fuel pump compensate? "

MB Scooters Ltd replied: We have never need to alter any float heights with our reed manifold as the angle is too much.

Giancarlo on 31 Jan 2010 asked "I have a question about "Vespa P range Reed valve assembly, with alloy carburettor stub, 4 petal, MRB" I' going to fit onto my sprint (vnl2t) casings with reworked valve for Malossi rotatory valve manifold. Could i mantain the valve or should i rework it? Is it possible to fit it without dismantle the motor from the frame? Thank you."

MB Scooters Ltd replied: This manifold fits straight onto the engine. But you will get more from the engine if you rework the inlet port to work with a reed valve.

Chris D on 06 May 2009 asked "I have a question about "Vespa P range Reed valve assembly, with alloy carburettor stub, 4 petal, MRB" Looking at the product photo I cant really see how the carb attaches. The carb I want to use is a 30mm PHBH Dellorto. Do i need any extra parts or is everything in the kit? "

MB Scooters Ltd replied: All you need is the carb mounting rubber. This is part number MBP0161 to suit the 30mm Dellorto.

Robert on 04 Aug 2008 asked "I have a question about "Reed valve assembly Vespa With alloy carburettor stub 4 petal PX/T5" Could I use this as a 30mm manifold without the reedvalve until I can split the engine to modify the inlet properly. I know this sounds daft but I usually rebuild the engine over the winter so would do the inlet then ."

MB Scooters Ltd replied: Yes you can use the reed manifold without modification, but how it works I cant say.

Steven b on 24 Jun 2008 asked "I'm interested to know how this would work with a fuel pump (non electric) would there be any modifications required to the reed valve assembly. "

MB Scooters Ltd replied: When you fit a fuel pump there is a complicated arrangement of pipe work required to make the pump work.

If you know what you are doing on that side of things then you will have two choices!

1 drill and tap the reed block, or

2 drill and tap the casing.

This is where the the pulse pipe will pick up the crankcase pulse.

Its up to you where it goes.
