MB Scooters Ltd replied: Yes you need to use that tool to convert your side cover. Or send it in, its cheaper if we do it.

Steve on 03 Apr 2020 asked "Hi, I have 1965 ok 150 silver special. I've fitted a HTM pro 6 plate clutch and now trying to fit this to kick start kit. I've had to grind the Kickstarter to clear the kick start damp retaining boots and now find the casing won't sit against the crank casing. Do I need to machine that side casing spigot or could the kick start shaft be fouling the clutch?"

MB Scooters Ltd replied: First thing to do is machine the side cover to fit the GP kickstart shaft

MB Scooters Ltd replied: Yes it will but really it should have the conversion done on the side cover to move the kickstart away from the clutch

MB Scooters Ltd replied: It will need the crankcase side modifying with this tool MBP0124 before the kickstart will fit.
