Lambretta Thread repair insert 7-10 x 21mm, Steel, MB

Basic repair is like this.

• Drill out to 8.5 - 8.7mm
• Tap threads to 10 x 1.5mm
• Use a 7mm screw with plain nut, screw the insert onto the screw, lock the nut gently
• Cover the threaded screw with a strong loctite and screw the insert in with the screw untill it locks, unwind the nut and remove the screw
• You can counter bore the casting so the top hat seats flush
